infinite

Infinite is about holding fast to happiness, and the discovery that in confusion there is wonder; in difficultly there is light, and in life there are always moments that are infinite.

lyrics (Part 1)

hook

I'll put this world on both my shoulders, fight for your heart like a stone cold soldier.

I don't want to change as I go and grow older I told you I won't let my soul grow colder.

I'm sitting in the back with a rap and a wish, trying to find myself in the vastness of this

Trying to be the light in the blackness within, I just want to hold on to what happiness is

Because this has to be it.

verse

Before we saw the world through our lost chances.

Before we outgrew believing that little was wrong with the planet

Before it was laughter and dreams, and that never seemed to make our hearts panic

We used to believe in the beauty much more than we do, it's not lost damnit

There's life left to live

I'll stop walking around like I don't see that I got this light left to live

And I'll fight for this, stand up and see what reality is like when it hits

See I opened the door, I met the real world didn't know it before

Saw it gets colder than snow in the storm, had my back to the ropes in a corner before

If it slips then I guess we'll never know, if it lasts forever in the letters that I wrote

Then this will be the last song tethered by a rope

Till our past is gone and settled like a feather that had flown

So I let it be my muse here, it's my backdrop

For this new year on this blacktop

I won't write like a eulogy number, so if life it a beautiful struggle

(Shanti)

I'll put this world on both my shoulders

and I'll fight like a stone cold soldier.

So when reality hits, I'll find out what happiness is.

verse

So if this is the lesson we learn

I guess we will see how our tendencies turn

I give you my voice and the rest of me, empty these memories

Step with our destinies first

Don't write like a eulogy number

Dance in the eye of the storm to get used to the thunder

So if life is a beautiful struggle, then my hearts an unusual puzzle

See I lost my footing a coupe of times, but I wouldn't change how the chapters been written

I'll always have this wonder in life, so I will find more on the path I've been given

I'm dropping my anchor to this and I'll bottle the dream

And I'll always walk with my heart on my sleeve.

I'll outgrow some things, but I'll always believe in the person I thought I could be

(Shanti)

I'll put this world on both my shoulders

and I'll fight like a stone cold soldier.

So when reality hits, I'll find out what happiness is.

outro

I'll put this world on both my shoulders

Put this world on both my shoulders

And I'll fight like a stone cold solider

You know I'll fight like a stone cold solider (I'll fight, I'll fight)

I'm sitting in the back with a rap and a wish

Sitting in the back with a rap and a wish

Trying to hold on to what happiness is, I'm trying to hold on to what happiness is.

This has to be it (for you)

part 2

I've learned a lot across Mile 18.

And I hope I can say the same thing about 19, or 35 or even 80

I'll mark my miles with bold paint to the canvas space

I'll let my light shine and spark the kerosene if the lantern breaks

I'll speak with purpose to hold the anchor of what I am today

And keep my eyes set on what I've got coming next

So for every time it felt like all we measured up to was a statistic

And that nothing we do could make this world spin any different,

For every time we sent a search party for the silver lining,

And got so frustrated when they'd come back and say that they couldn't find it

There is more in what's left.

I'm talking when the sun hits the mountains like raindrop on water and splashes into a sunset

I'm talking when you hit a bump in the perfect singletrack and your wheels haven't touched yet

Or when you're carving notches in your memory block with the people that you love best

These are the moments you hold onto when nothing else makes much sense

Let a hint of perfection hits your heart like a cymbal and vibrate into the chills

And reach into your pocket for the tiny peace of heaven that you've had along

And it's like you've always known that there was this universe in your palms

It's like you've always known that life was too infinite to limit it

That the world was never meant to be measured or defined by our differences

That love was never meant to be marginalized to pass by's and compromises across the mile markers signs

And that your heart was never meant to be controlled.

See you can spend your entire life searching for answers

To find that we were never supposed to have this all figured out

But that's the beauty in it

Isn't that what wonder is all about?

But we can get used to knowing happiness and this is the start

Don't you ever put a limit to your heart

See when we stop trying to find things to measure our lives by

Maybe we'll see just how infinite we are.

And then we'll know what happiness is

And that has to be it :)
